OUGD503 // Fedrigoni // Front Cover Ideas

When looking for ideas for the front covers, I wanted to do something which is in keeping with the idea of paper craft and 3D. So i have been thinking about the idea of using the layers of papers etc to work as the front covers.

I came across this video:

I thought that this idea was really interesting and could work within my project too.

From this I have come up with a couple of ideas of how it could be adapted to work as a front cover.

- Fold over corners throughout the whole selection of papers on front cover - use this underneath the front cover, laser cut top sheet with type and lay over top.

- Do same as above, glue the folded sections flat - this is the front cover. Cut into the layers to make the title.

- Do the same by layering up the folded sections and gluing them flat. Overlay a solid / transparent tip in which wraps around the spine to have the title and publication name.
