So i am printing the publication pages tomorrow in time for the crit on thursday. I thought it would be a good idea to check in the printing that i can use the Fedrigoni papers and it turns out that i can't. They arent suitable to be used within the printers we have, which if i think about it makes sense, as they are used in commercial printing, so it would be on large scale printers and presses.
This did ruin the idea slightly for me, but i have come up with a new plan.
I am going to use ordinary coloured stock from the library and try match the colours / textures to that of the Fedrigoni papers. As this is essentially a mock up of the publication, it doesnt matter that it isnt the proper papers and i have the samples of the correct paper which i can hand in and propose that it would be printed on the right papers.
It does state in the brief that Fedrigoni papers don't have to be used and if my design was chosen then the paper would be provided for the correct print.
I was really looking forward to work with other papers within the actual printed product by never mind.
